Many people are reluctant to make large gifts during their lifetime. This is understandable because none of us knows when Jesus will call us home and we certainly do not know the final costs which will be associated with our deaths. Uncertainty always breeds caution.
Faced with this reality but wanting to make a significant impact on their favorite charities, many Christians have opted to make a gift after they have been called home to heaven. We refer to these gifts as planned gifts.
Planned gifts come in several forms:
- Bequests from a will or trust
- Beneficiary designations
- Charitable remainder trusts
- Gift annuities
- Life estates
All of these methods have advantages and disadvantages which we would be happy to discuss with you. For more information, please call our office at (314) 382-6650 and ask for the Development Department.
