The role and function of every faculty member at Lutheran High School South (LuSo) is to work in conjunction with all members of the ministry for the purpose of accomplishing the school’s mission.
Our Mission
We inspire students through a Christ-centered lens to live courageously and serve faithfully.
Our Vision
If we’re successful in our mission…
- Students will be rooted in the hope and knowledge of Jesus as their savior, gain confidence to embrace God’s callings, and be equipped with skills and abilities for successful life and service.
- Families and communities will be shaped by students who pursue their vocations with excellence and share Christ’s love.
- Faculty and staff will be motivated to further joyful service as they celebrate an increased sense of purpose.
Our Core Values
Remember Whose you are. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
This core value asserts one’s identity in Christ. This identity reflects that we are united to Christ in faith through His salvific work on our behalf and thus are children of God, co-heirs with our fellow believers.
We are God’s beloved children. (1 John 3:1)
We are image-bearers of God. (Gen. 1:27)
We are uniquely-created individuals. (Ps. 139:13-14)
We are strengthened and encouraged by Christ. (Phil. 4:13, Josh. 1:9)
We are integral members of the body of Christ. (1 Cor. 12:12-27)
Remember who you are. (Ephesians 2:10)
This core value asserts the responsibility that emerges from our identity in Christ. Having been redeemed by Christ, we are set apart to serve God by serving others in the vocations to which we are called.
We imitate God’s love. (Eph. 5:1-2)
We honor the image of God in others. (James 3:8b-10)
We meet individuals where they are. (1 Cor. 12:24b–27)
We strengthen and encourage others. (Heb. 10:24-25; Phil. 2:1-8)
We actively use our gifts as members of the school community. (Rom. 12:3-8)
